Open Dialogue

Open Dialogue is about engaging Canadians and giving them a strong say in Government policies, programs and priorities. This will be supported by expanding engagement and interaction through Web 2.0 technologies, and will provide Canadians with greater opportunities to participate in the Government, the economy and the democratic process.

Why Open Dialogue?

Engaging Canadians is important because their input informs the work of the Government and helps the Government make better decisions for all of us.

How do we achieve this?

Canadians can find ways to engage with the Government online by visiting:

  • Consulting With Canadians – provides Canadians with a way to participate in government-led online consultations on a range of topics.
  • Open Regulation – provides Canadians and businesses with a more transparent and predictable federal regulatory system. For details, see the Red Tape Reduction Action Plan.
