Voici les commentaires que nous avons reçus en réponse à la question 1 de la consultation en ligne, qui est : Comment pourrait-on faciliter la recherche et l'utilisation des données gouvernementales fournies en ligne?
Nous sommes engagé à respecter la Loi sur les langues officielles et à faire en sorte que tous les renseignements soient fournis en français et en anglais. Les renseignements venant de sources externes, tels que l'information dans la section « Commentaires reçus », sont affichés dans la langue dans laquelle ils nous ont été fournis. Les commentaires du public sont offerts à titre d'information seulement; aucune modification n'y est apportée. On ne demande pas de rétroaction sur ces commentaires.
Faciliter les thèmes ou les reclassifier pour les données statistiques des recensement.
Rendre plus de publications en pdf pour téléchargement gratuit.
Mieux présenter les diverses agences pour savoir ce qu'elles représentent et leurs mandats et les sujets qu'elles couvrent.
En géomatique, améliorer les données offertes pour obtenir des échelles qui sont acceptables (1:20000 ou 1:50000)

Plus...I see that excellent meta data is required, so that the context of each data set is fully understandable. This standard should be used by all governments in Canada.
Secondly, common terms and conditions be used across all Canadian governments. In particular, I would recommend the use of the UK licence as adapted by the British Columbia government.

Plus...Health Canada should engage the public in all aspects of drug approval, including posting meetings schedules in easily found public sources as well as actively seek out advice from stakeholders, clearly post discussions at meetings as well as describe overview of the rationale for all decisions. Please see the FDA website to better understand how best to undertake public engagement and displaying useful information on drug approvals

Adopt a Service-oriented architecture (SOA) to provide up-to-date inforamation, by all the agencies of the government.
Create an easy to navigate portal/catalog to facilitate the search and dicovery of data (e.g. http://data.baltimorecity.gov)
For data with geographic element, should be provided within an interactive map display (e.g. http://www.recovery.gov)
