Question 9: "Are there any other comments or suggestions you would like to make pertaining to the Government of Canada's Open Government initiative?"
First, I do appreciate that the Consultation is being conducted. In order to obtain the best information possible on which the Government of Canada could act in implementing new open government initiatives however, the date for comments ought to be extended by four to six months. In the meantime, those likely participants I make mention of in my response to question seven of this Consultation ought to be asked to provide feedback with respect to their experiences dealing with past requests they have submitted under the Access to Information Act. To not overlook those people in this Consultation process is of critical importance to the quality of the insight you will gain through the Consultation.
